  • you complete me at hello

I bet that everyone has missed some normal experiences.  One of my friends has never eaten a McDonald’s hamburger.  Another has never seen the TV show Cheers (and was mystified when I said something driving past the Cheers bar on Beacon St.)

As for me, I’ve never seen Jerry Maguire, which I’m going to remedy this Sunday night after Highrock.  Joining me in testing out the new home theater: the mysterious Logan_Cale.  Probably not joining us: the by-then just-married peterskim and smartaleck.  Anyone else up for a blast from the not-so-distant past?

  • I think I figured out who “logan_cale” is. =p

  • I will bring a water melone. I don’t know how but I’ll do it.

  • That should be “You complete me at Halo”, and we should bring an X-Box and some controllers to play Halo on your awesome projection screen haha =).

  • I have “Jerry Ma-f’ing-guire” if you want to borrow it for Sunday.  *it’s one of the lines.

  • Logan, ok.  Now if we can only get Loren to bring one of his/my swords.

Loren: That’s a good one!  Go ahead and bring it — maybe we’ll need to play to bring up our testosterone levels afterwards.

Chef: Is that a special unedited version?  I bought the regular version in anticipation of watching it eventually.

  • if rated r stuff bothers you ask someone to give you a warning during the movie. it’s pretty sudden

  • hmmm…i guess it makes sense that you haven’t seen it…cuz i think the line is “you had me at hello” or just plain ”you complete me”. hehehe….but the mix is kinda interesting…though i’m not quite sure what it means! hahaha…have fun watching it! =)

  • I may come…it’s been a while since I’ve seen it.  =)

  • Ok, time to explain some jokes:

    1) I know the lines are “you had me at hello” and “you complete me” — I was trying to poke fun at the fact that I hadn’t seen the movie.  Plus, the strange mix sounds vagely engrish.

    2) I don’t have anything against R-rated stuff.  I was implying that chef’s version, which she called “Jerry Ma-f’ing-guire,” was a special unedited version with extra profanity, even in the title.

    …sigh…

  • *sigh* this was the movie that made ninja cry…

  • I’m with Ninja- that was a deeply moving film.

  • i’ve seen the movie…still don’t like tom cruise…the movie was okay…too chicky for me.

  • oooooh, i love jerry maguire.

  • My favorite line: “I miss my wife!!!!”

  • Did you know that my neighbor has three rabbits?

  • Haha, now I get it clieu!
