My friends Jen and Bryan complain that I haven’t written as much recently for their workday entertainment. So I present three possible xanga topics:
- People who love to be proven wrong vs. people who hate it
- Ending poverty, homelessness, and the energy crisis via exercise bikes
- Experiments with caramel pomegranite sauce
Any preferences? Voting ends at noon; winning topic gets an essay!

#2!
#2
I’d love #2, because that would be another way an otherwise self-centered part of my life could be turned into serving others, which would feel really redemptive. I actually don’t like exercise bikes (they hurt my knees and, ah, the area where one sits on those tiny seats), but I love the eliptical trainer. Can I use that to replace fossil fuels and heat my neighborhood?
Ok, looks like #2 is the clear winner. I’m going to head over to Darwin’s and BTS and crank out the essay.
why not all three?
#3, but only because i can add to it.
4. What I would do if I ruled the world.
Not all three because each one takes me too long to write. =P
Jewels, feel free to write your own caramel pomegranite post.
Not sure what I would do if I ruled the world. Depends on whether I played it light side or dark side.
Time – all I need is time.
